Interesting link to the piece on Madoff and Blagojevich. While the piece notes the paths taken by these two alleged fraudsters, there is one glaring trait shared by both men which seems to be on the “don’t mention list,” both men are/were grandees in the US Democratic Party.

This says a great deal more about you than it does to me
1) I am not a member of the member Democratic Party
2) I do not think that they are universally wonderful
3) I do condemn political corruption wherever it occurs
4) I am aware that it happens in the Democratic party, and condemn it
5) Rather as is the case in the UK, where I am happy to work with members of many political parties if their ideas and mine coincide, so am I happy to work with the Democrats in the US if that coincidence occurs. But it does not mean that I accept the label, or that I need to refer to it
