Absolutely agree. An amazing piece of music. Along with quite a lot of other pieces he did. He managed to be simultaneously avant garde and accessible.
DB was masterful but I’m afraid the Sax player reminded me of Gideon. He was hesitant early on, then horribly confused & only managed to extricate himself by going back to the old tune he was meant to have moved away from !
Are you aware that it was, I am pretty sure, that sax player who actually wrote Take 5?
Kind of hard to argue he didn’t know what he was doing
