These are my links for February 19th:
- Tax investigators raid Munich UBS office - Times Online - It's just about our clients, not the bank itself, or so they say. Pull the other one, please, I say. Haven't you heard of money laundering rules? You as a bank are responsible for your clients.
- Wikileaks.org muzzled | AccMan - Very worrying. Who the heck is going to stand up to the fraudsters? Perhaps we'll have to start it all over again.
- Why I get out of bed | AccMan - Why we bloggers blog
- Comment is free: After Northern Rock - Prem Sikka, topical as ever
- Bloomberg.com: Germany and Leichtenstein - An update
- FT.com / Companies / Financial services - Proposed tax changes help bolster BDO - Evidence, if evidence were needed, 🙂 that accountants have every reason to love Alistair Darling

Not all “accountants have every reason to love Alistair Darling”. Surely it’s only those firms who:
1. Have clients who will pay large fees to avoid tax; and
2. Have non-dom clients.
Wikileaks is still up and running on various sites outside of US jurisddiuction – see http://wikileaks.be/wiki/Wikileaks , for example.
