Tax Justice Network: Helsinki seminar on transfer pricing

Posted on

The Tax Justice Network will be holding a Seminar on Transfer Pricing in Helsinki, on June 13-15th, 2012. The Seminar is being co-hosted by TJN, the Government of Finland and KEPA, the umbrella civil society organization in Finland.

The seminar's purpose is to analyse the OECD's dominant Transfer Pricing Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and Tax Administrations, and to suggest modifications and alternatives to those Guidelines. The Seminar will focus especially on the needs of developing countries.

It will be attended by academics, researchers, government officials and representatives of civil society organizations, and it has been organised by David Spencer, Senior Adviser to TJN and director of TJN's Transfer Pricing Project. I will be present and will be presenting a new paper on country-by-country reporting.

In connection with the Seminar David has written an article,“Transfer Pricing: Will the OECD Adjust to Reality?” It is a long, detailed and important article which refers to a broad range of research and analysis, and it will be posted as a permanent item on the Tax Justice Network's Transfer Pricing webpage.
