Outright disaster from the EU
Switzerland, Luxembourg and Austria all blatantly promote tax evasion
They hide criminals
They are secrecy jurisdictions: places that intentionally create regulation for the primary benefit and use of those not resident in th eir geographical domain that is designed to undermine the legislation or regulation of another jurisdiction and that, in addition, create a deliberate, legally backed veil of secrecy that ensures that those from outside the jurisdiction making use of its regulation cannot be identified to be doing so.
And they’re not on the G20 list.
It is discredited as a result.
I hope this report is wrong.
I suspect it is right.
If we can’t win on tax havens we have no hope on climate. I despair for the future of my children: are we reallhy seeing greed beginning to destroy civilisation?

I entirely agree with you. During my compaigne I wrote to top politicians in the EU, to the President of the EU, to EU Courts, to key players in the EU and telling them and showing them what is going on. No reaction at all except that Julius Baer’s lawyers told me straight “I can go where I wanted and ask for help and disclose information we, Julius Baer, have the better connections, you lose”. Yes, the lawyers of Julius Baer were right the Police, the Prosecutor, the Media, the EU politicians etc all took the position of Julius Baer except WIKILEAKS. WIKILEAKS made all the difference and the “Barbara Streisand effect” did the rest and made Julius Baer looking stupid.
Reality is that systemic corruption is about to destroy the democratic society. Therefore, I even bet that Switzerland, Luxembourg and Austria will not be blacklisted, the distruction and corruption has to go on.
I only see hope with the Americans. Europe needs the Americans again to clean up Europe even though the Americans have a at home to do. Therefore, I seriously hope UBS becomes a striking example how to deal with white collar criminals not only on an individual level but on a coorperate level in order to stop the destruction of the democratic society or even the world.
