Those who watch my videos will know that there have not been quite as many of late. That's because I have been exceptionally busy and sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day. But that also left me asking the question as to why I do this? So, I thought I'd explain why, here:

What would be interesting to explain is why the videos are monologues without video content rather than made in many of the other formats available e.g. a debate, interview or a conversation.

The videos as made fit into busy working days
Make them more complicated and they become the working day
I like the short, snappy and to the point videos, to a complete economic numpty like me they are easily understood and retained. I knew very little about economics until I discovered this blog.

For donkeys years, the monthly balance of payments figure was headline news. It has always had a prominent place in economics courses. It has always been used as a propaganda tool, alongside the housewives purse and repaying the national debt, to demonstrate why countries must ‘live within their means’. Please explain why this particular piece of simplistic nonsense is just that.
